help with boot disk

    hi im trying to restore an image using acronis true image server 8,i am
    booting from a full recovery disk, i am able to boot from it but as soon
    as i go to move the mouse the pointer just freezes and i am unable to
    continue, please could you advise me on what i should do......i am able
    to use a safe boot disk but then the image which i am trying to access
    which resides on an external firewaire disk is not available to view
    because of missing firewire drivers...please help...thx

    We are really sorry for the inconveniences.

    Please let us know whether you use USB or PS/2 mouse. If it is USB model please try to change "USB Legacy Support" setting in BIOS and see whether the problem persists. Also please check whether you may perform the operations using only keyboard or the software hangs completely.

    the thing is, is that just for a moment my usb mouse can move the pointer then the pointer freezes, it is the same if i use a legacy ps2 mouse and disable my usb mouse.....i do not have a ps2 keyboard only usb so cant try that.
