I remember using a program that messed with my IE profiles.... and locked me out of changing my homepage. What program was it?

If so, sounds like Spybot S&D.

what about spywareguard? and doesnt spywareblaser have an option to do that too? they may not lock internet options, but if you are having problems changing your homepage it could be them. i'd check, but i just decided to reinstall XP so dont have either, im only here on my way to get them both :)

SpywareBlaster does have an option to disable IE homepage settings in the internet tools control panel. There is no option to lock u out of internet options though.

Spywareguard will alert u if there is an attempted homepage change.
