    Hi,

Late last night I purchased and downloaded Acronis Disk Director Suite
Had previously installed Acronis Partition Demo.
Disk Director comes up in Demo mode and won't let me execute any changes to my hard drives.

I've uninstalled the earilier demo, and the registered DD suite. Re-installed twice.
    I get the same result.

I'm running XP -Pro on an AMD 2400 w/ 512 video memory.

    Kmtman.

    Hello Kmtman,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

Please accept my apologies for the delay with the response.

Could you please do the following in order to fix this issue:

    1) Uninstall Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0

    2) Open registry editor (Start->Run->regedit) find the following branches:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Acronis\

and set permissions for these branches as "Full Control" for SYSTEM account and your account.

    3) Install Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 once again.

If this solution does not help then please create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post and submit a request for technical support. Attach the collected information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.

I've been working with support to resolve the same issue. Saw this post and was able to fix my problem.

    One additional note:
If you don't have the HKLM/Software/Acronis key, create one and set full permissions for SYSTEM and current user *before* you run the installation. That fixed it on my system.
