Its true (they are not very revealing but some people may take offence)
they show where it says your ad here, I think the ads keep changing

i used to hate those ads at the bottom of WLM.
some popup blockers can block those ads.
kis6.0 blocks thoses ad and so does superadblocker

I believe the MVPS Hosts file blocks this.
When I sign-in to WLM, the banner ad disappears and a error appears:
    Line: 50
    Error: Object Expected
Do you wish to debug now?

    I click No.

Heard about the Winfixer ads, sickening.

Thank you.I downloaded the MVPS hosts file, and it really blocks the ads in windows live messenger.I am very happy.Lol.:D :D :D
This is the first time I will be using a hosts file.Does disabling the DNS CLIENT(I made manual) in services make anything bad happen, does it make a security hole.Sorry but I dont know anything about hosts file. Some people say that using MVPS hosts file slows their connection,my web loading is not slowed down, can it be slowed down in time??

I Before I switched to Miranda I used http://www.msgpluslive.net/download/ - be careful when installing as the default options install some sponsors ad based tools, you can uncheck this option though, but lots of people dont read the messages and just click next- ok - next - next - ok and end up with adware on their machines (IE toolsbars and the likes).

A HOSTS file is the easiest way to block sites you don't want. Any type of site.
For Windows XP SP2 users, set the DNS Client service to Manual, as it may cause the computer to ignore the hosts file in some cases.
