...and the 'autoupdatesupport' e-mail address bounces my e-mails!

I get ‘Invalid User Name or Key Specified. Please double-check your entries’

I have just rebuilt my machine. No hardware changes that I can think of, but my e-mail address has changed.

Please tell me what I should do, and provide me with a working e-mail address so that I can communicate with you properly.

    Thanks.

Edit: Text of the e-mail bounce I received:

    Hi,

Please try sending an e-mail to:
    jcsupport AT javacoolsoftware DOT com

If that also bounces, please send me a PM through this forum (with your e-mail address in the PM) and we'll try to figure out exactly what the problem is. :)

EDIT: Actually, based on the error message that you posted, it may be because your e-mail client is misconfigured. That problem often occurs when your ISP's e-mail server is expecting authentication (i.e. your username and password) but your e-mail client isn't providing it.

Some good information on causes and solutions can be found here: http://www.contractwebdevelopment.com/503-valid-rcpt-command-must-precede-data

    Best regards and thanks,

Ahh! Yes... I configured SMTP authentication (as it should be in fact). Hopefully it will reach you this time. Thanks for that...

Edit: Bingo! I got the automatic acknowledgement from you. Look forward to your response - hopefully it won't take 72 hours though!
