Help my daughter downloaded a big problem

the reason I suggested it is because she stated it was only a month old. I had one I had a issue with after about a month, took it back and the geek guys reimaged it for free. That is why.

 

I PMd her the exact same offer. Didn't get a response.

 

I guess his/her problem has been sorted out.

 

You know guys...I am disappointment that Wilders security forum couldnt solve such a trival problem

None even recommended to change name of MBAM executable when it was blocked, as we know most Rogue AVs block it nowadays.
Only one recommendation to boot into safe mode...

There were so many easy ways to solve it.

I think, no. He/she just sent it back to BestBut, so that's why he/she can't post back.

 

Quite a few morphed installers for Security Tool are being released lately.
inst.exe - Result: 5/39 (12.83%)

Even though MBAM may miss the inst.exe till it's added it will still take out the install.

Might add that I had no probs downloading/installing MBAM from Major Geeks with Security Tool active.

In my testing VM below are renamed MBAM exes that sit in MBAM's Programs Folder which I can access through hotkeys. The MBAM with no extension showing is MBAM.pif .
