If you follow post number 2 found here

This will clean your system, the post also points to further threads discussing security software to keep your system safe.

    Hope this helps...

Let us know how you go...

    Cheers :D

PS. are you aware that you are entitled to a FREE upgrade to Nod32 version 2.12.2? so long as you are a registered current user of Nod32.

Seeing as Poster does not have NOD and therefore not NOD related I have moved to this forum ~ Virus and worms ~ for more general help. ~ TAS

Hi Hannah, welcome to forums. :)

First, so you have an Anti-Virus program? edit: Yep, AVG, sorry!!!
If so, try a scan again, in SAFE MODE

Also, you could try couple Online scans.

TREND'S HOUSECALL On the right side under More Info, click Scan Now.

SYMANTEC SECURITY CHECK Click on GO.

BITDEFENDER ONLINE VIRUS SCAN Click on the 'I Agree' licence.

PANDA ACTIVE SCAN Click on the animated gif, Panda Active Scan.

Blackspear gave a good advice in that link, but you don't have to purchase NOD if you already have an AV.

Just follow some of the other steps with AdAware and Spybot if yo don't have those.

    Cheers, TAS

You may also find some helpful information for clearing your Sun Java cache in this thread (see Post #9 by Pieter Arntz) :)

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=13039

Once cleaned, please make sure you have all Windows Critical Updates.

Start/Windows Update to stop the browser exploits.

The exploit is a MS exploit for the MS java....but Sun Java's cashe will catch and contain it...it can't harm the system from there because Sun Java doesn't work the way MS's java does. But..you need to clean it via link above and get updated.

    {at least that's the way I understand, still figuring it out myself, I cannot find a definitive answer re java}

    Cheers, TAS
