    Hi all

I am constantly having problem with Zip file whenever I try to update my Ad-aware SE Def. This happens every once or two months or after so many times using the compression tools. I am positive that the problem is NOT due to ad-aware se def.

I have tried some many compression tools and each time I encoutered a the problem I switched to another compression tool.

So far I have tried the following:

    WinZip 8 and 9
    Power Arc 611
    7Zip

I am currently usine ZipCentral now but the problem persists.

So please help as I am running out of compression tool very soon.

Attached are screen shots of the problem. The downloaded file is dated 25 Nov 04 but when I opened it in the compression tool it went back to the last known def.

This what I have downloaded first ... then in the compression tool it showed 14 Nov. 04.

The file I am referring to is the Ref file for ad-aware SE def.

Thanks for the information and links. I have been using freeware (compression tool) for a while now but for whatever reason I just keep having to download new compression tool every now and then to solve the download problem and I guess there is some problem I cannot find ...

But I bet I will only solve the problem temporarily only.

    So all help greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

if you are going to uninstall then reinstall zip programs make sure you reboot after each step... uninstall>reboot>install>reboot

also, maybe someone can help you with taking alook at the compression .dll

    hope this helps you :)

I will try the uninstall -> reboot -> install -> reboot with ZipCentral to see if it works.

Yes, could someone please help me with the compression .dll?

    Cheers
