Help,, about eset not detecting folder.exe virus

    why eset smart security4 can't detect folder.exe virus??

    my files become hidden and my folders become .exe files,.
    how will i solve this problem?? i almost thought eset smart security is the most powerfull antivirus,:'(

    Hi,

    Well, for them to detect this malware -if your problem is linked to malware- they must be aware of it, so you'll have to send them the malicious file for them to add detection (you or someone else that experiences the problem), or wait until they detect it another way. But that means you'll have to find which file is the culprit.

    Anyway, it's a very strange problem, I can't really see why a virus would change folder names to end with .exe. You could maybe attach a SysInspector log so it's easier for people on these forums to help diagnose the problem.

    Open the drive which contain those folders.If eset coudnt detect those then u have to submit those files to eset for analysis.
