... and just starting to get a feel for the forum.

There is a lot I can learn from you guys.

For starters I'd like to get a recommendation what minimum security software one should have.

Any recommendation? or maybe a link where I can find this in the forum?

    Regards,
    haggi

    welcome to teh forum http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v135/bubblefizz/emoticons/wave2.gif

for me, a software firewall, antivirus, and alternative browser are sufficient. but each person has different needs. just use common sense and be sensible in the amount of security programs you use. heres two threads u might wanna read:

What is really sensible in terms of PC security?
Wot Else May I Need Or Consider Gettin'??

in this thread, Blackspear has listed 3 different configurations. Minimum, Medium, and Tight. it was posted some time ago so some of the choices could be better.

if u want to ask about the individual recommendation search teh Security Software section. it is split into sections for firewalls, anti-virus, anti-trojans, and anti-malware.
