This must be a bug... I disabled IPv6 and Heimdal blocked access to the website but it does not get blocked in incognito mode. Don't know about Firefox private browsing mode.

it did show blocked in the log after rebooting when disabling IPv6

"Right.... It shouldn't be blocked IMO"

Why shouldn't it be blocked? If you have children? I also personally liked the site. Are they hosting malware? If so malwarbytes didn't make a peep.

According to Heimdal support it will be unblocked.

As far as I know Heimdal isn't a filtering service for categories such as adult content.

If malware and phishing exists, yes I agree it should be blocked. Neither URLVoid nor VirusTotal listed any detections, although URLVoid's results were out of date by 6 months. I pointed this out to Andra in PM and asked for the reasoning behind the initial block. Now it looks like it's going to be unblocked.

Ok so my question still remains as to why it was posted as a test site?
It was only for whatever reason was blacklisted. SO I want to know what the reason was it blacklisted? Only to show that it can be blocked if you disable something on your adapter?
I am sure we will see shortly ...

    Hi Bob,

My colleagues informed me yesterday evening that the website is no longer blocked. It was infected with malware, but it no longer is.

To test whether Heimdal PRO is working, you can use this website instead: euromovements.info.

    Thanks for your patience!

Sorry for causing any trouble at all, if this happened. I didn't manage to reply in time and to get the information quickly across.

You (everyone in this discussion and on the forum) were the first to find out of the change.

Please use euromovements.info to test whether Heimdal PRO is working.

    Thanks for understanding!

    And
Andra - are you sure that euromovements.info is blocked?

It is not being blocked here - can others confirm?

Blocked here on Win 7 HP SP1, x64.

Using version 1 of Heimdal Pro, although there was no notice of what was going on, I was indeed unable to enter the website. Eventually I got a message that, "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." :thumb:

I think Heimdal should add a test site to their database which will remain blocked indefinitely. As we have seen, some sites have had malware, they get added, then malware is removed so it gets unblocked.

It's a cat and mouse game and Andra can't keep giving us a different domain to test because by the time we do test the site may well be clean. The example she has given us is currently clean, according to VirusTotal's URL check.

    Mystery.
Not blocked here. Win 8.1 Pro x64, v2.0.30, Traffic Scanning and Filtering on, IPv6 unchecked in Network Adapter settings.
And yes, the site is clean in VT.
So I'm back to square one on this issue

Well I have a real live testimonial. I was buttoned down in my VM. Went to a site know to host ransomware. First thing it does is do a redirect, which no-script blocked. I allowed it and said I had a virus. I let it scan and of course it found something. Offered to fix it free with a download. So I clicked the button to allow the download. Heimdal Pro immediately blocked the site. Well done!!!

    Hi everyone,

We've set up a blocked website that you can use to test Heimdal whenever you want. It's called: http://notblockedbyheimdalsecurity.com/

    Here's how it works:

    - if you have Heimdal PRO installed, with all its features turned on (traffic scanning included), you should get his message, on a red background:

Heimdal Security has blocked this page.

The web location you are trying to access may trigger phishing attempts or contain malicious content which could affect your system.

    - if you don't have Heimdal PRO installed, with all its features turned on (traffic scanning included), you should get this message, on a blue background:

You are NOT protected by Heimdal Security suites!
This domain is used to test if Heimdal PRO or Heimdal CORP are implemented and enabled on your system.
If you are seeing this page, it means that you are not protected by any of these Heimdal Security suites.

If you can, do a DNS flush beforehand to ensure everything is working properly: https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html (link for those who have never done this, as I know that almost everyone here has plenty of know-how on the subject).

Later edit: please note that this only works for Heimdal PRO v2. We're migrating users from V1 to V2 incrementally, and everything we build from now on will be built for V2. Thank you for understanding!

I'll be happy to answer any questions related to this.

Thanks for your patience once again!
