hdb:error wating for DMA?

    Hello im experincing this error, everytime i make my comp boot up with cd inside, i really dont know the cause of this problem and im wondering if anyone can help me please. The error is Acronis hdb:error waiting for DMA and i waited for 2 horus and nothing has changed please can somone help me please sorry im only 15 :oops:

    Hola Kiok,

    Have a look at this thread. May be it will help. And also make sure that the bootable CD created with the latest build (3677 as I can see).

    Well i swiched the cables around in my comp with the cd rom drive now, I noticed the error is gone but, the Aronis wont boot up! i have waited for 1 hour and nothing happened. Its says loading please wait... and then the white blinker disappears and nothing happens what can i do now?

    If none of the Linux parameters mentioned by Ilya ("acpi=off noapic" and "nodma") in the thread privided by _Kento_ did not help please boot your computer from Acronis True Image Bootable CD once again and create Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post. Also tell us the exact model of you hard drive and what exact interface you use (IDE,SATA, etc.). Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected file and information along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.
