I always go see what new stuff is on the Maximum PC's disk at the store I work at. Today's issue has an anti spyware program I never heard of called Winpooch. Can someone tell me about this program?

The name "Winpooch" rang a bell, but I never used it.
After reading the info, I wonder if it can be better, than any other popular AV/AS + its real-time protection.
AV/AS-scanners + Winpooch are always so misty, you never know in advance against which malware you are protected. I don't have that problem with whitelists, which are always very clear : this is allowed, anything else goes.
I hope you find users, who actually use it in practice. :)

Kees used Winpooch for a while. Search for his posts.

As of now, it is abandoned-ware. So also are Neoava & CoreForce. Possibly Prosec as well, but there are unconfirmed *rumors* it might be active again one day. Don't bet the farm on it, but here's hoping.

    Cheater,

D+ of Comodo handles every thing WinPooch can do. D+ is better and more important (like Bellgamin says) WinPooch development has stopped. So do not bother.

Winpooch had a really good thing going for them, then all of the sudden they quit cold turkey and left it to rot in the dust, and whatta shame, it did show some promise.

    Such are some developments.

Why would they have a product that is not being worked on in the CDo_O?

Those CDs rarely have the latest version of an app or driver. Also its possible that Maximum PC havent noticed that Winpooch is "dead".
