    I know very little on the topic and was hoping others could share their thoughts on the pros and cons of hardware security solutions, namely AM.
    I suspect they have nowhere to go but up, possibly pretty quickly.

    My thoughts on this are:
    With the recent Intel buyout of McAfee I fear they will embed their software at the hardware level and I will not have a choice in picking a security vendor. It would need to be a device that could be flashed with whatever brand of solution I wish.

    That could be really cool.
    I'd think one could still run software AM though, not unlike running both hardware and software firewalls.
