I have a HP Compaq Dc7100 Which uses a SATA HD. I keep getting the error message listed above. Is there a fix for this problem?

    Hello robdoujr,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Could you please let us know whether the problem appears under Windows or when you boot from Acronis Bootable CD? Also please let us know the full model name of your SATA controller and the disk. This will allow us to give you the appropriate advice.

    Thank you.

There's no model number for the controller but its a intel SATA controller the hard drive model is ST340014AS. I hope this helps. I'll do some checking on HP's site to see if I can get the SATA controller model number.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hello robdoujr,

Your SATA controller and disk is fully supported by Acronis True Image. Does the problem appear under Windows or when you boot from Acronis Bootable CD?

If the former please create Acronis Report in the way described at Acronis Help Post and install the http://www.acronis.com/files/support/SnapAPI_s_e.exe update with enabled logging, reproduce the problem and send us the C:\snapapi.log file.

If the problem appears when you use Acronis Bootable CD please create Acronis Report and the sysinfo.txt in the way described at Acronis Help Post and send it to support@acronis.com.

In any case please include the link to this thread into the letter.

    Thank you.
