Hacker code found in email body, can it affect ubuntu do?

    Hi All.
    I am wondering what this crazy code in the screen shot i put up on my twitter account to host the image.

    it was in a body in an email i got. .. but the sender said it came like this from me..
    i am using ubuntu linux and wonder if i got some problem.

    Further it seems if press copy/past into some web-fields i can see a little square in before the copied text.. quite often.

    whats going on?
    who can help me with a good solution to this?
