    GWX Control Panel Release Notes and Version History:
    http://blog.ultimateoutsider.com/2016/03/gwx-control-panel-release-notes-and.html

    Version 1.7.4.1 was released at 01 April 2016

    PS:
    I know that GWX Control Panel has been discussed at several other threads, but I wanted to have it a separate thread at least for update notifications for the program.

    About this particular change (version 1.7.4.1) and the detail "Removed a misleading alert that was appearing on some computers with "clean" Windows installs that had not yet encountered Windows 10 symptoms", well eh, was it an April Fools thingie?

    Steve Gibson claims his run-once-and-forget tool will use M$'s direct way (via the Group policy) to never be nagged about or receive updates for Windows10, contrary to all kinds of always resident "solutions".

    Nice little tool, thnx.
    If you don't have GWX installed it will still show as OS upgrade being enabled (I have 2nd key set correctly through GPedit). So this might be misleading for those that didn't install GWX.

    @Hadron Get Windows 10, using X as the Roman letter for 10.

    Someone correct me if I'm wrong here but I don't think this will work for W7 Home premium users .
    I thought that this version of W7 does not have Group Policy ( editor ? ) included .

    If that's the case , is it possible to add it ?

    AFAIK settings added to registry will have same effect as using GPedit.

    Thanks for creating the update thread. I've been using GWX Control Panel for quite a while to disable the upgrade on my customers' (mostly Windows 7) computers. They are happy to have the nagging stop plus they recover gigs of hard drive space.

    @Robin A. , thanks for posting that .... I'm guessing that you have already " been there , done that , and bought the T-shirt " :)

    Also , I agree with other posters in this thread who have said that this topic merits a thread of it's own , even though it has
    been mentioned elsewhere on Wilders .

    Until it dawns on M$ that the millions of people who have refused W10 are serious about their decision ,
    we are going to have to battle on , and tools like this are valuable , and they will need to be kept updated,
