Green Serv-U icon on taskbar

Unwanted odd green box with horseshoe shaped icon on users' taskbar, offers a selection of "spy on users" and calls itself "Serv-U". User says he has not knowingly downloaded any ftp servers...

Anyone heard of this, trojan activity perhaps? Any hostile apps loading this for DOS attacks or worse?

This user ran Ad-Aware and a full Av scan, and the Serv-U icon has gone.
We will never know what planted it there... maybe next time.
