Government Set Up A Fake Facebook Page In This Woman’s Name

    Why do people accept those terms? I'd rather lose the suit in court that to absolve them of responsibility.

    Those terms should not be allowed for a government body - it's using public money to cover up the truth. It's regrettably common, and most of the settlements include some kind of gagging order too.

    Corporations are even worse when it comes to such terms. IMO, people should reject any agreement or settlement with such terms. If a corporation or agency is already offering money to make the problem go away, they're already over a barrel in a bad negotiating position and are hoping to appeal to the others greed. People need to force them over that barrel until they break.
