Well, almost all Google activity is "For-Profit" and related to "Privacy Invasion", so this is nothing new :thumbd:

That's why I don't use anything google. Well, almost. Im in the process of closing my 10 year old gmail account which takes months in order to close loose ends. I have already purchased runbox email account for $19.99. I have also moved out of Windows as my main browsing machine, again because now you have to sign in with your email. Apple and the iphone is next one on my list.

That's a fair statement. Tom has posted a lot of good "heads up" links but, lately, seems to be linking to too many ~ Snipped as per TOS ~ "news" articles.

Where have you been since, oh, I don't know, the start of Gmail? :D Though honestly the biggest change in them happened with the Doubleclick purchase. That's when they really got their ravenous data appetite. I mentioned this is another thread, but as long as data is the best and easiest way to profit, they won't change their behavior.

    Indeed.

Google is a for-profit privacy invasion!

It's also the best search provider, which is very annoying ;)
