The Web is scarier than most people realize, according to research published recently by Google.

Another interesting finding: China was far and away the greatest source of malicious Web sites. According to Google's research, 67 percent of all malware distribution sites are hosted in China. The second-worst offender? The U.S., at 15 percent, followed by Russia, (4 percent) Malaysia (2.2 percent) and Korea (2 percent).

When you open up your home to allow anyone to enter, you will always get thieves, murderers, and what not showing up. You have to employ an "internet police/sheriff" in order to tame the "wild wild web". But the octopus has grown to such a size, that it may be unmanagable and your only resort is to "pull the plug". :D

Orientals have a long hidden history of being pretty sharp minded so so, so no real surprise they also have the same ambitions when it comes to taking things apart to find out how they tick, then fashion their own different new designs to see how well they done changes.

United States has about 300 millons of inhabitants, China about 1300 millons.
    67/1300=0.052
    15/300= 0.050
The amount of malware per inhabitant is very similar.

I still don't like the idea of going home with only a silver medal.
