It's possible it does use Google Safe Browsing, but I've used WOT for about six years on multiple browsers and I've just got used to it.

It may have gotten better but when I tried this some time ago I was put off with the way ratings were formulated. Much of it was just user opinions with no basis.. Safe Browsing is not opinions it's based on facts.

    • An inbuilt flash blocker
    • CanvasFingerprintBlock
    • Context Menu Search
    • Dictionary Lookup
    • Disable HTML5 Autoplay
    • Mail.ru Checker
    • Turn Off The Lights (it also lets to choose the default video resolution)
    • Vanilla Cookie Manager
    • WebRTC Control (Leak Prevent stopped working)

Does anyone know of an extension similar to Collusion (this has been removed from the Chrome Store) or Lightbeam but for Chrome?

Thanks. I knew about Disconnect I just want a list of what loads on a page but I didn't say that in the post.

I had found such an extension that had a drop down listing all the loaded sites in a format that allowed me to search for the sites on WOT or Safe Browsing but it seems Chrome has recently removed a lot of extensions that don't have many users.

  10. Thanks to @WildByDesign and @yeL I use Chromium stable (same release as Chrome):
    - no sync version has WebRTC IP leak disabled
    - started with --disable-reading-from-canvas switch (thanks to @Sampei Nihira )
    - with settings Safe Browsing and Do not track (allow session cookies only)
    - enabled in about://flags disable hyperling auditing and reduce referrer granularity

    Using extensions
    • Blank new tab (open source)
    • Animation policy (playing animation gif's disabled)
    • AdBlockPlus using only Peter Lowe's blocklist (blocks most ads without triggering anti-Adblock prompts on the websites I visit).
    • Script Blocker for Chrome (block and allow same domain for Scripts, Plugins and iFrame's) DISABLED (STOP in icon). When I surf/search for stuff on the internet I use incognito mode and switch (third-party) Script Blocker on.

After installing YouTube High Definition in FF / CF I was looking for a simple extension to hide annotations @ youtube in Chrome, but then I came across this simple filter to add to an adblocker (like uBO or ABP):

    Code:
    ||youtube.com/annotations_
    It works!

I did try Magic Actions for YouTube in Chrome but besides doing way more than I needed I disliked having to go to their site to change settings.

If you want to hide more than that, there is a whole collection of filters available:
    Code:
    https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/yt_annoyances_full.txt
    https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/yt_annoyances_comments.txt
    https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/yt_annoyances_suggestions.txt
    https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/yt_annoyances_other.txt

Turn Off lights (handy by itself) works for changing resolution as well as a few other settings. Adblock for Youtube disables ADs and annotations.

Yeah, I know about these and I am using the "yt_annoyances_other" filter but it wasn't blocking all annotations like the description says. The others block more than I want.
I could try Turn Off the Lights but uBlock Origin blocks the ads and if I disable Auto-play, enlarge the video and set the resolution on the first video I watch the settings get carried over to the next videos too. It was the annotations that bugged me the most.

    Cheers.

There appears to have been a change at youtube where after setting the resolution of the first video that resolution no longer carries to the next videos., so I've installed a simple and light extension to solve this.

    HD for YouTube

There are others but this one suites my needs.
