Well there's a price for being "modern" (which, by the way is one of the themes to Mon Oncle ;) ) as most of the really good older classic movies are not yet available on DVD, only on VHS which I do not have

Enjoy your vacation! Try not to get stuck too much at the computer :)

Thank you! That's very nice from you! Real vacations are in the outdoors not inside the house. ANW, most of my friends dislike computers. ;)

    DVD?

I would rather wait than rush to buy DVD. Now, prices are better. Two years ago twas almost double. Further, when you wait more, you get the latest upgraded merchandise.
No reason for rushing. Unless you need it. Bye. Uguel :)

ohh yeah "once upon a time in the wild west" or west.. something..
anyway the hero gunfighter with the harmonica and never wore a holster...

Man that was one GOOD movie.. when he was young the bad guy tied a rope around his brother's neck and sat 'em on the "hero's shoulders then shoved the harmonica in his mouth.. so when he fell his brother hanged... truly a great movie!

I'm not advanced into DVD yet but my 4 year old daughter has one lol

Charles Bronson, one of my "heroes" ;) , talks less, acts more. Sure there are so many of favorite actors and actresses...Kathleen Turner makes my knees shaking lol

Those were the good western-spaghetti made by Sergio Leone. All his movies had high climax and interesting plot. You wouln't expect what was coming next. What made them special wasn't only the story or the action but the way it came through our sense. We could almost feel the dust, hear and imagine that fly around our ears...the grandiose pictures, all our senses were involved in his movies. Leone had a special magic touch. Great sense of tempo too."The right thing at the right time." I would say.

In "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly"

We had, Clint Eastwood, Elli Wallach and the good Lee Van Cleef...I don't remember the others..
Was Claudia Cardinal in one of his movies? Not sure.

--I agree that Charles Bronson was a true actor-- ;)

Here's a link for more info on S. Leone's movies:

I think that Claudia Cardinal was in "once upon a time in the west".
The other stars were;Charles Bronson,Henry Fonda, and Jason Robards.
Awesome western! That harmonica was a key to the timing of events in the whole movie.

The original "Gone in 60 seconds" is supposed to be hard to find.
The guy that starred in it directed it,funded it himself with volunteer camera crews and did real stunt driving in the movie!

I like "High Plains Drifter" too.
Where Eastwood has the town painted red and has a sign painted "Hell" instead of "Lago".
He was one mean gunfighter in that one too! :D

A little bit off the topic...Does anyone here have seen
some Gumby and Pokey's movie animations from the sixties? (in your childhood or whatever) I know they made a movie in a few years ago but many people said their original material was better than the movie.

Here's a link to that site where animations can be watched. They take time to download though.

Oh yeah high plains drifter - he was the sheriff and they all stood by while he got whipped/killed something like that and so he set them up to fight the bad guys then left town rigth as the bad guys were riding in, right?

    Yes.
But he came back and got revenge.
Then like in a lot of Eastwood movies,he rode off and disappeared in a haze.
I think the short, little guy figured out who he was.
He was painting the sheriffs wooden grave marker when Eastwood rode off.

Yeah that's right - the short guy was the only one who wanted to help the sheriff the first time but he couldn't... Good movie!
