You might want to take a look at Completely Free Software (CFS), at http://www.completelyfreesoftware.com/index_all.html . As of about a year ago they started charging a nominal membership fee to access their download pages, to help offset server costs and get rid of the more blatant sponsors' popups, but the software itself is still free.

Unlike similar sites elsewhere, Graham Pockett is very fastidious when reviewing, and includes info about spyware or even "nagware" he's found included.

If you'd like a "free preview", sign up for his free weekly newsletter which is independent of the memberships and which lists the week's new acquisitions along with the full text of each one's review.

    Best,
    Mike

    Hey Blackspear,

This chap has a beaut. absolutely freeware downloads site for XP Games.
You might end up spending more time downloading from there than at Jupiters.
    (just joshing)
If you click on a game you like the look of, it will next tell you if it's for XP,
but I think he has XP himself. What a neat site.

    www.caiman.us/

    Regards.

King Pong II is the sequel for our very first game, King Pong. This sequel is the first game we have created with the Flash technology. The new graphics are eye popping and the original is nothing compared to this now. This game adds a complete new aspect to pong, with many brand new playing modes, lots and lots of bonuses, action pumped gameplay and more! You HAVE to try this one out.

    i have heaps !! :-*

this is good for kids and adults

No, no, no and NO!... :)

Those game are not addicting, what you need is an online multiplayer game like BZFlag a tank shoting game where you get flags for power games... http://www.bzflag.org ... it is open source too, and seeing this is a security forum - that is good... and there'll be no questionable closed source code with viruses or trojans or whatever...

But of course when using BZflag be sure to use a firewall...
And at start up, it is optimized for slow computers - if you want it to look great, just adjust the settings to make every setting in the settings section on 'ON'... otherwhise if you have a slow computer with slow rendering - put everything on 'OFF'... i use to play the game but it was TOO addicting i uninstalled it...

Now i play miniclip and other flash games... instead of having a game installed which makes me wanna play it even more... just a tip... don't get TOO addicted to games... you should worry about your physical health and other important things then games.

    :)
