Good backup antivirus software?

    OK, now I have turned on Nod32 and F-prot for windows. They work fine!

    Ashak,

    F-Secure will not install itself if it detects McAfee on the computer (and some other AVs as well, but not all), even if McAfee is not resident. Prior to installation, it does a quick scan to see if other AVs are installed, and warns the user if they are; it then offers the options of letting F-Secure delete the offending AV and installing itself, or quitting the installation altogether.

    It doesn't flag all AVs, but it does flag McAfee (versions 7 and 8 both), and some others which I can't remember. It does not flag Kaspersky or Dr Web, though.
