I am trying to help a friend via email, and getting all of the details from him is difficult.

He likes to send email to authors of news articles. Often, when he clicks on a "send email to author" icon, instead of opening Outlook Express, as expected, his browser gets redirected to a Gmail page instead.

While he has, or at least had, a Gmail account, he does not use it anymore, and does not want to be redirected there. Where can he find the browser setting (if that is what it is) that is doing the redirecting and undo it?

If this is not enough info, please let me know.

    Thanks.

If using IE, click on Tools, Internet Options, Programs. Check to see which email program is listed there.

If you make Firefox your default browser, it will use the same email program you are using in Internet Explorer.
