GMail, how can I get an invitation to get it?

Hi, I want to use it, but only with invitation, how can I get it?

The easiest way to get it is:

Go to gmail.com

Under the login box, click "Sign up for gmail"

It will ask for your cell phone number and it will text message you an invite code, enter the code it sends you and you are good to go.

 

I know that previously you had to get an invitation in order to get a new account. Maybe they changed the requirement? Haven't checked in nearly a year. I have about 20 email accounts anyway.

Hmm? I just checked the GMAIL site and it doesn't require a mobile phone number at all. The signup process is straightforward, just like Yahoo, hotmail and the others....

 

It only needs an invitation to get a count!
