I personally don't trust these ... I test myselft and a simple "scanning test" doesn't show anything ..

unfortunately, I would honestly say this is a pretty accurate test. It is reality.

It seems that the free bitdefender is not as effective as expected! Bitdefender Paid 99,0.

This "test" is very far from reality.

NIS uses Smart Definitions while PC-Tools doesn't so that's normal.

Test is garbage as is most of these fly by night outfits that appear to be popping out of the woodwork in Russia. Note the tests it used in its synthetics section

PC Tools Internet Security scores less than PC Tools Antivirus Free in detection, which is impossible. It is either a mistake or a configuration error, and thus the tests are invalid at least with respect to these two products.

Yes, PC Tools can sometimes score better than Norton due to Full Definitions, and PC Tools also has its own extended definition set which has independent signatures.

The results are too weird to believe to be honest in my opinion.

Yes and PCtools is not the only weird result. Two identical AV engines in ZAfree and ZASuite gets hugely different scoring. Simply not possible.

Yes? - And still no change in signature & avatar? :D - Respect! :thumb: I also do not care about the result (68,8 %) for Webroot Secure Anywhere. You can give me money but even then I won't switch to one of those 99,x % products because I don't need them nor their drag. I am still virus free (checking with all sorts of on-demand and offline-scanners very often) and computer is lightning fast with WSA as my only real-time protection. ;)

I don't care about all those tests. :D - Maybe if I should get infected once (but I won't :p ) I will try something else but that didn't happen for many, many years now so that isn't very likely about to happen. *puppy*

Malware is no danger to me the last years. Drag would be constantly .. for my blood pressure. :D - So I know why I use the "lightest" thing available. ;)

Well, welll .. and here I thought you were ill or something. :D - So I see Eset is back again at this particular hour of the day. Main thing is you feel secure and I hope you do .. at least for a few hours. :D

Yeah, that makes me doubt this test. I have yet to see anything get past BD free, in my own tests, or any I've seen on YT.

Not saying it can't happen, but these results seem a bit odd.

It would be nice if the headings in each column were in English as well.

No wonder Avast wasnt awarded as the star product as they were testing v7

And v7 IS did better than the free version!? they both have same engines and same quality.
