Global internet slows after 'biggest attack in history'

I am downloading the SL6.4 update @ average 15 KB/sec (but we also have a Seacom cable break, which makes matters really unbearable).

 

one thing i find strange is most affected is Open DNS i used Open DNS very slow internet even wilders security/distrowatch is not opening so i switch to norton DNS for a while it working pretty good for a while without slowdown

And of course there is a fix that no one has ever yet and probably never will implement.

 

Must've happened while I was sleeping... I didn't notice anything.
