Anyone else tried this new one? This is one beautifully done distro based on Ubuntu with Enlightenment as the window manager.. Really light and fast also. But it just looks fantastic.... Trying it now and so far no issues at all...

    Hello,
Didn't try it, but I did test the Enlightenment desktop with E-live live CD. Kind of nice and futuristic. Which reminds me - I'll check this one out.

I'm liking it a lot so far.. Only thing I had to add yet is Rythmbox for mp3 front end. That plus the Fluendo plugin, both from the repo's. Comes with VLC for video. Nice selection of basic apps.

Apparently is uses pieces and parts of Gnome when Enlightenment as the WM. The desktop wallpaper is ok. It's the way the whole thing is themed thats really striking to me, I love the look and feel of it all. It's different, which is what I like.

Shows a lot of promise for a 2nd release for sure....

Thanks WSFuser and GlobalForce for the PM.:)

Kept getting the below on the first download link at Softpedia:
The Europe link below at Softpedia worked OK:

Geubuntu 7.10 (ISO) Softpedia Mirror (Europe)

    Edit:
Downloaded and installed to an old 20 gig drive.

97 updates @ 73.5 meg required after install.

Certainly is fast but now I need to learn how to navigate which I find quite difficult for all the distros I have installed.

Just needs a bit of time I suppose.

    Fluxbox
    Suse KDE
    Vectorlinux

Sounds promising, will give it a try on my older PCLOS system. Would have been nice if they had a x64 version as I would love replacing my x64 Ubuntu.

Need sunglasses for the desktop wall paper-but apart from that- great theme and is indeed fast, probably more so than Wubi,my favorite.

Navigation not as straightforward, though, which is the curse of many over developed themes
