getting an error in trend micro online scanner

    from the last 3 months i cannot run trend micro online scanner when it try to update i get an error message

    ERROR CODE :19

    ERROR STRING :patch.exe or Au patch local

    execution failed .

    Maybe you can try this one:

    Code 19


    Your registry may be bad. (Code 19)

    To check your registry, click Check Registry. If the registry is bad, Windows will restart your system and go back to a previous registry that is good.

    You do mean this online scanner, correct? http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

    That error might be because you are blocking (or not trusting) the alternate sites that are used to download the files needed to run the scanner. It is not enough to trust just "housecall.trendmicro.com" because pieces of the scanner may be downloaded from various other servers, as well.

    A little while back Housecall started having the main ActiveX module download from regional akamai.net servers. Depending upon your browser settings and any filtering / blocking done in products like proxy or firewall applications, (if you have any), you might just be blocking the necessary components.

    thank for your idea i turn off my firewall now its working .firewall was blocking active x program
