    Both are sandboxed HIPS?
Is GesWall the same as the Defensewall?

    I have XP SP3.

    My security setup is:
    - Windows firewall
    - Avast Home
    - Windows defender

Can I add GeSWall free to my security setup?
    Do I need Windows Defender?

    Thank you.

They are similar but GesWall has some limited virtualisation and DefenseWall is easier to use.

    Yes.

With common sense and an image backup, it shouldn't really be necessary but there's no harm in keeping it.

GW and DW are very similar. DW has a much better support and easier but no free version.
U can add GesWall free to ur set up.
    No need for Defender IMO.
