I wonder if Geswall 2.9.1 was meant to be installed before the expiration not after.
Maybe there is a registry entry to delete or modify?

Try looking for all the folders and files from geswall. Sometimes a left over .dat file can cause some problems. Also clean out your registry of any geswall items.

I installed it over top of the old version and it worked just fine. If you use OA try putting it in learning mode when you install GeSWall. After several days of using the new version I have not had the first problem with it. I was happy to get the license extended since the expiration was fast approaching.

    OK guys,

I downloaded the free version today again. Had a different filesize.

Now no problems with install. Issue resolved. Thanks.

Question. I'm really happy wit GeSWall and I feel secure enough not to need a real-time AV much longer because nothing can hurt my system. Why aren't there more GeSWall users here @ Wilder's?

I never understood it ! I'm waiting 3v to buy it ! But you should use an av: GesWall is not an HIPS - and we use av with HIPS too -, what if you download a file, a program, or use your USB Pen to safe some data in your pc ....?

Even if you download or save something it should still be isolated unless you save it as trusted? Or am I misunderstanding how GeSWall works?

Geswall has it's problems too. Although, GW has saved my butt on a few occasions. I'm still a licensed user even though I've found other programs that suit my needs a little better. I don't like having to write rules to make things run.

It is isolated unless you copy and paste it or move it to another directory. Also, USB drives are not isolated by default.

So an AV is a backup in case you let something in that you shouldn't?

Is the problem with Firefox's plugin container fixed or still needs to be configured manually?
