    I think it is really different task for you in the States. My surname keepers were always Swedish, until about 1850 finnish was an official language here in Finland. Now we have only some 4 % first swedish talking people here.

    My surname was so swedish among those clerks, that they don't actually spell it wrong.

    The best thing happened still about one week ago, when I found about my surname, that it was so swedish as english is italian!!! :D
