Garbled text on gmail login page.

    on this occasion just on your machine. maybe clear cache

    Cache is cleared every time I close my browser. Just tried manually clearing cache and it is still garbled.

    Thanks for the suggestion though.

    Oddly enough playing with the encoding settings did the trick. At first I did not think it would because the help page you linked to was for email messages.

    As has been reported elsewhere (maybe even at Google by now), the "outage" was simply Google's way of having some April Fool fun.

    If that is the case, it's very poor taste by Google. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

    I agree, they should stick to funny homepages. Google confirmed it by the way at the bottom of that blog.
