1. The total amount of virus/threat which were updated 2. The name of virus/threat which were updated including with their threat level (low/medium/high) 3. Program Module which was updated including with its version 4. Date and time of the update Thank you.
In the Update window, click the version of the signature database which will open virusradar.com with all available information.
In Scheduler section, add an option to perform startup scan when using laptop in battery mode (not only in AC mode). Thanks.
When a program module has been updated (i.e. HIPS), display "HIPS has been updated" instead of "Program Module has been updated" in the pop up notification. Thanks.
Good Constructive proposal, and it will definitely do troubleshooting easier, if a new program module update causing issues for some users. (in combination with the new roll back feature in version 6)
During Smart Scan (On-Demand Computer Scan), if threats are found, prompt the user for action at the end of scan (not instantly in the middle of scan process; BTW is this going to postpone the scan process until the user chooses the available action?). I'm running ESS v6.0.306.0 on Windows 8 Pro 32 bit. Thanks a lot.
good one... also there is lot more to fix in a final build....now I feel like the RC version was better than the final..... *disappointed*
The size and position both of the main v6 window as well as bubble notifications is preserved after a computer restart (tested on Windows 7 x64). Maybe you have another application installed that prevents the program from saving the attributes in the registry. Please contact Customer care who will be happy to assist you with this.
Add the ability to make a fast Start up scan in the tray menu. Without the need, to restart, or wait for an VSD update.
You can currently run it via the right-click menu in Scheduler but yes, that's what I've already proposed (Quick scan to scan memory and startup objects only).
I see. Though the way I meant is that you just right click on the tray icon and chose Start Up Scan/Quick Scan from the menu, scan takes 5-10 Sec done. Without the need to go into the GUI at all. I find that way more simple.
Yeah, startup scans are very effective and thus I, too, think a link to launch one should be easily accessible.
Great, I know that this isn't your area, but do you know if this will be added by the devs soon, or is it even being considered at all? Just curious to know so i don't wait for something that will never happen
You mean like separating the modules into standalone ones? Then I would say that won't happen as having everything integrated tightly together is what makes ESET so good. And a big reason as to why the product works as great as it does. Both protection and performance wise. But you can always disable the modules that you don't have any use for PERMANENTLY e.g Parental Controls. Or install NOD32 wich has less features than ESS.
estimated. you did not understand: in Endpoint Security can install add on modules, I wish you the ESS 6 mims for future versions or stop - Revision regards
1. In the future I would like to have my.eset.com to include Eset Mobile security so that you could administer, remotely wipe, lock and locate commands from the website. 2. I would also like to see, the function remotely lock of your hard disk in cases where your pc/laptop were stolen. (the same function as Eset mobile security offers but just transferred to the PC / laptops) Regards, Janus
Hello Eset A wish for a quick scan of e.g. memory on demand, much like the functionality we already finds in the the startup scan, but just triggered on demand. Regards, Janus
