Are there any free real-time AT programs? I already own Ad-aware Pro, and it says to have trojan detection too, is that any good?

Please advice me (sorry for the short message due my lack of time atm.)

    Creature StyleWarz,
Snowbound posted a good link for you which included my opinion. I would add this as an alternative if you are short on fund$. A tight firewall and scan with free A Squared. Remember Av's will cover you some too, but a dedicated Trojan Killer I highly recommend, even if it is just a scanner. Scan daily, watch what you click, and you should be pretty safe. ;)

EDIT: short of time a common thing for me. ;)

Try Trustware Antimalware (www.trustware.com) or Prevx (www.prevx.com) ... the only real AT that have a real "real time" prevention of any AT or spyware ... all other only try to prevent it by blocking the reg it's crap... trustware have a nice technology "BufferZone" that creats a Virtual ENV that the trojan run in it and cant damage the OS

  6. I've never understood, why there are plenty of good free AV's ,with realtime guards - AVAST, AntiVir & AVG.

Yet there are no, FREE AT's with a real-time guard. Must be AT makers are a greedy bunch! ;)

I think it's because all of them have paying corporate customers. Corporations don't generally buy things like ATs, instead they just demand better spyware detection from their AV.

Hmmm a good point to ponder. I wonder if that keeps them safe...good topic for future discussion. ;)
