Controler, mine has a version of Sygate's firewall that has really been slicked up by Panda. I suspect it's Sygate free, but I can't find any info on what version. It's nice and the entire package, both AV and firewall, work beautifully.

I'm also running the free Panda Platinum 7 but without the firewall. I'm using ZA free at this time. I really like Panda AV but was a little afraid to use the firewall because it's Sygate, and I use AdSubtract Pro. I heard they didn't work well together. Is it the same Sygate you get if you downloaded it from Sygate's site, or did Panda change things. I have a feeling it's the same.

Hmm, How good of a AV is Panda? Also, How good is the firewall? Would it run on my 566Mhz Celeron with 128MB's of RAM?

Panda is a very good av and the firewall works well and it should run just fine. you can get it free for one year and give it a try. you can't loose anything.

Is there a link to download Panda without the firewall ?
Or you just have the option not to install it during the
    initial installation ....
    I love my free Kerio
(I never uninstalled it for more than a year !!)

    Hi,

I am using it several month now. You can disable the firewall in PAV.

how long does it take them to send the keys? i signed up 2 days ago and still ddint get the keys

As soon as I hit the send button after signing up, the keys appeared in my mailbox. That was how quick it was. If you haven't got the keys yet, your e-mail was not right. It is all automated.

Hi, I signed up for the Panda Platium 7.0 deal today. Before signing up, I saw an online review somewhere -- ZD Net? PC Mag? don't recall -- which specifically listed about 8 email clients it's supposed to work with. One of those was PocoMail.

I use PocoMail 3.0.3 and have no idea after looking all over Panda support how in the world to make Panda scan email in Pocomail.

Anybody know how to set it up? The help files themselves speak almost exclusively of Outlook ant OE. I don't even see anything about setting up Eudora??

Anybody know about PocoMail or Eudora?

    Thanks,

    Gary Speer

I didn't have to set up for eudora it just recognized it. and automatically scans it.

Hey Nick, thanks for that info. Decided to give it a whirl as well.
    Was using AVG and Sygate.
Now tring Panda c/w built in firewall.(which is Sygate BTW.)
AV seems to be preforming just fine. Updates are updating.
    Firewall is firewalling. ;)
The only thing I miss so far is the interface that the stand-alone
firewall provides. I'll get used to this interface in due time,
    as the price is right.
    Thanks again,
    Take care

    Hi all,
I downloaded the free version of Panda and have been using it for a week or and am quite impressed. It has caught everything thrown at it so far including a trojan (RAdmin.a) that my son managed to get while on the PC. (The Automatic Protection, realtime scanner found this).
One thing to be aware of is that if you enable the "scan within archives" function in the realtime scanner section it can really slow down the reading of CD's on your PC as if there are any archives on a CD Panda insists on scanning the whole CD as soon as it is insterted. This can make installing games a long process. However if you buy a lot of computer magazines that come with CD's (as most do these days) you might consider this a good thing as do I. The problem is that unless you are aware of this, it can look as though your PC has locked-up or crashed while Panda is scanning the CD.
