    Having used ESS for more than a long time I found out that Avast 5 and the Windows Firewall (win7 x64) behind a good NAT router is more than enough.
    At least for now:D

    Because Malware Defender is more of a classical HIPS application rather than a Firewall, it does have some from of network protection (application filtering), but I think (and I maybe wrong) that it doesn't have any inbound protection.

    As far as I know the current version has a full featured firewall with port controls.

    Windows FW is good enough but I'm using ZA Free right now.I'm a fan of Online Armor but due to a few glitches, I made the switch.

    Note: I discovered a few weeks back that COMODO DOES NOT CONFLICTS WITH CHROME, IT DOES WITH EAM (Emsisoft Anti-Malware)

    Just to clarify before i spread false accusations ;)

    i second? comodo
    im testing the beta now
    so far REALLY nice (fingers crossed)
    sandbox plus very easy paranoid mode (look at popup options carefully) = good
    very fast too

    Windows Firewall and Windows 7 Firewall Control Free... Easy to use and does the job :)

    comodo internet security , its still beta but its very fast & light on the computer , and the firewall is number 1 . i use it now its really excellent and i dont know how they leave it free !! i wish to see it in av antivirus

    Switched from Windows Firewall to PrivateFirewall and I must say I am really liking PrivateFirewall.

    Much like the Windows Firewall, but also like Comodo, so I voted both, but I use Windows Firewall. :thumb:
