    Hello Forum,
    I've downloaded a PDF file / Catalogue but it is in German.Is it possible to translate this PDF file into English.

    Only way that I know of is to extract the text (to a .txt file) and babelfish it.
    Ghostgum / GSView has text extraction.
    Google "pdf text extract" and you'll find others.
    Caveat: It will only work if it is a "true" pdf file (vs. a raster / hybrid pdf file). Also some formatting will be lost, and overall appearance will not be as original .pdf file.

    Interesting.
    Results are (understandably) a bit sloppy, but legible.
    Superior to the text extract option.

    It's also a hassle-free method - you just upload a file.
    As for the text extraction, there are various online services for that too. This one, for example will OCR a rasterized PDF. Never tried that either, the only OCR app I used is ABBYY Fine Reader.
