Doesn't Foxit have adware in it? I remember hearing it does some toolbar I think its ask.com of something.

Yes it does, but it's easily avoided if you're eagle-eyed and careful during the install - or if you read this.

    Hi.

I wanted to give FoxitReader a go after reading various Wilders threads and readied myself with the dedoimedo.com advice.

Thing is, I opted for the zip download and there was no install :doubt: other than unzipping the wrapper.

Found this advice on their site:

"If you download the FoxitReader43.zip file to your computer, all you need to do is UNZIP and double click the FoxitReader.exe application file. You can start using it right away. This format requires no installation.

The unzipped program isn't in my programs folder and doesn't appear in Control Panel etc. Bit like other lightweight widgits I use. And there's no sign of any unwanted extras. Seems the .exe download is the full install version.

Stupid question i guess. Should I download a full install or am I missing anything if I leave things as is? o_O

    Cheers

Okay, uninstalled the zip version and followed the dedoimedo.com advice to install the exe version.

Aside from opening faster than the zip instal the full install version seems exactly the same unless i'm missing somepat. :)

Sorry to have cluttered your space with my wittrin.o_O
