Former FBI agent says criminal organizations own US phone companies

Former FBI assistant director Tom Fuentes said on CNN one week back that when he work in the FBI they had evidence that some telecommunications companies in US are owned by organized crime organizations. In the discussion he already mention about there is 3000 phone companies when including such like VOIP so maybe he means some the smaller telecoms. The CNN host ask him what companies he mean, but he said he not going to reveal that info.

This info is not surprising.

I think if they own phone companies, probably they also own VPN companies.
