Does the clock start ticking when you install? Or does it start when you download the file?

I might buy two of the complete for $20. Or 2 essentials for $10.

I went ahead and purchased another 3 user one. Sent
message to them about Webroot Internet Security Essentials 2011 upgrade to SecureAnywhere 2012 about how I did not want to install one then upgrade to another.

Was expecting a serial number and a download link but got this message instead..."Thank you for contacting Webroot Support.

To avoid installing the previous version of Webroot please follow the below steps.

    1. Open your Start menu.
    2. Click Programs or All Programs, then navigate to the Webroot SecureAnywhere folder.
    3. Under Webroot SecureAnywhere, open the Tools folder, then click Uninstall Webroot.
    4. Click Yes and follow any prompts that appear.

It is not necessary to reboot your computer after uninstalling Webroot. To reinstall, click the link below to download the latest installer.

    http://anywhere.webrootcloudav.com/zerol/wsainstall.exe

    1. Save the file to your desktop.
    2. Double-click "wsainstall.exe" to run the installer.
    3. Enter your keycode when prompted.

Once the above steps have been completed you will see a scan take place to finalize the installation process.

If you have any further comments or questions don't hesitate to let us know. "

So no new serial needed? Sending another message to find out about the serial number.

You do not have to send the license to Webroot Support. They will convert automatically.

I ordered some more licences this morning and just copied and pasted one into a new install of WSA Essentials. Worked perfectly.

Here it comes: Webroot has made more production changes to SecureAnywhere in a week than AVG ISS has made in approximately 6 months. This does not hurt my feelings any....:D :thumb:

Hopefully they continue the trend. Nothing worse than having a product in full production then fall off after a year. I'm very impressed by WSA so far. It runs extremely light and the protection seems top notch. With that 4.95 price at download crew, I've been installing it on all my clients machines. I'd use it myself but it doesn't seem to like shadow defender too much.

Just couldn't stand it anymore! For 1 year license for 3 computers with WSA Essentials for $4.95 was just ridiculous to pass up. WOW! So easy and F A S T! Glad I've got this backup for the second year. ;-)

I even got a couple of 5 users licenses of Essentials for the family I assume they will not always be at that price and I just send them to WSA support to get them converted to WSA-E license keys and then there are no issues! $13.90 Canadian for two 5 user licenses and no tax WoW!

I got an essentials for the wife and kids. I had just bought norton IS about 2 weeks ago. Oh well. I only paid $22 for it. I might buy a WSA complete next. It really is too good to pass up. I'm trying really hard not to buy 6 of them.

If I purchase the license for Webroot Security Essentials 2011, will I be able to upgrade it to SecureAnywhere AntiVirus 2012?
I only want the antivirus component, not the firewall or the other add-ons.

    Thanks for your help

then that would be your loss....anyways, I don't think you can do that.....contact support and give them your bought license....they will convert the license accordingly to the equal 2012 product.....you can of course upgrade.....and there are no extra hassle.......if you do not want the backup sync then don't download and install the component after wsa is installed......you'll not even feel that there is a firewall.......now come on wsa is the fastest, lightest security......

If you purchase Spysweeper 2011 or AntiVirus with Spysweeper they will upgrade to the WSA AV only version!
