    Here is a linux tutorial/how to all in one place. Covers most of everything you will need to get around in linux with explicit examples as well as problem solving some issues.

    That's a great site, but mostly for intermediate and advanced users, definitely not beginners. Beginners do not setup NIS or NFS servers at their home :)
