Hi fellow NODDERS. Just a note celebrating my first week using NOD32. It's such a pleasure using an antivirus app that works seamlessly, and is so well put together. I bet this question has been asked alot lately, but will Eset be putting a Firewall together soon? I know a few thousand folks who would jump on an easy to use stable firewall with no bugs.;)

Welcome to the club twl845! Eset is currently working on a Security Suite slated to be released by the end of the year (impending release date is pure conjecture based on various forum posts).

I was hoping for a stand alone Firewall. I'm trying to get away from the suite concept. Installing NOD32 was the first step. :)

    Hi

Outpost Firewall & NOD32 work very well together ...
It is one of the best security team on the market

    NOD32 V3 should be released soon :
    - the NOD32 v3 antivirus alone
    - a security suite (NOD32 V3 + a firewall)

I was looking at Comodo, but I'm not as knowledgeable as I'd like to be and Comodo has a big learning curve for me. A firewall like ZoneAlarm is what I'd be comfortable with. The only problem with ZA is that if you're not lucky, you could have installation problems or a version that has bugs.

welcome twl845. Comodo is just fine and working perfect with NOD32. All you have to do is to let him configure itself autiomatically and then it will prompt you several times when an app wants to connect to the internet and you could shoose to allow it or not....it's the same thing as ZA. ;)
