I just installed the network analyzer on a laptop. The laptop is plugged into a switch that is plugged into a corporate non-managed switch. I am trying to check the logs to see what type of yahoo chat's that are being transmitted across the network.
When I look at the yahoo chat log there is nothing in there. What am I doing wrong?
I would like to see all the internet traffic as well as the local traffic. We have a large wan with 7 remote offices.
Do I have to plug the laptop into a hub between the switch and gateway or the hub between the switch and router.

Basically, I think the gateway is right some interface on the router.
You should make a port-mirror. As you've told you have a un-manageable switch. Then maybe the hub is the best solution.
Plug it betweent the switch and the Router.
