The PCFlankLeaktest does not work with Windows 98 Kernal32.dll. Error message: The PCFLANKTEST.EXE file is linked to missing export KERNEL32.DLL: Process32FirstW.

And a second error message . . . PCFlanktest.exe A device attached to the system is not functioning.

    Both messages come up together.

Now the grc leaktest works. And does not succed. Leaktest fails, that is the firewall passes.

The firewall is KerioPersonalFirewall 2.1.5 an early successor to Tiny Personal.

So win98 is "secure" because half of the leaktests / malware don't work on it anymore.

    :D

Truthfully that does add "some" security. But that does not make Windows 98 is any less vulnerable to be compromised. Windows 98 has known unfixable vulnerablities. So any extra type of "protections" and "percautions" should be used when ever possible.

That is why there is Windows XP and now Windows Vista. But they are not "bullet proof" by any means. So reasonable "protections" and "percautions" should be used.
