    Hi,

My issue is that the Eset firewall is blocking all traffic when the computer resumes from sleep (or in the case just a minute ago, after rebooting from a forced shutdown, I had internet for about 1 minute and then nothing).

This also applies to local network devices (no access).

Turning off the firewall fixes the problem. (currently only have windows firewall on and there is no issue)

    Details are:

Windows7 Pro SP1 (fully up to date)
    ESS 4.2.71.2
Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1300 (20110517)
    Advanced heuristics module: 1118 (20110419)
    Archive support module: 1133 (20110614)
    Cleaner module: 1051 (20110420)
    Anti-Stealth support module: 1024 (20101227)
    Personal firewall module: 1064 (20110215)
    Antispam module: 1016 (2010120:cool:
    SysInspector module: 1217 (20100907)
    Self-defense support module : 1018 (20100812)
    Real-time file system protection module: 1004 (20100727)

    Hello,

Have you tried adjusting the firewall filtering mode to Interactive or Learning mode?

    Thanks,

    Matt

oh sorry... yes I have tried these both. (it is usually set on filtering with exceptions)
Turning on interactive learning mode didnt fix the issue.

    Bump!

So it seems that it's not just on resume but about half the time the computer starts too... ESS Firewall is blocking ALL traffic for no reason - no matter the mode.

Can I please get some support for this? Is there a known issue with the latest version?

    Hello,

Thank you for the update. In the future, if you would like quicker responses to your questions, you may submit a support ticket with ESET. If changing the firewall filtering mode had no change, you might have to reset the firewall rules in addition.

    Thanks,

    Matt

yeah, i thought about doing that but it's working fine 80% of the time and then all of a sudden it will just block everything. So it seemed it wasnt an issue with the rules in place.
