Yesterday I noticed that the passwordmanager in Firefox 1.5 had changed settings to actively record passwords. Another setting with downloads changed to store all downloads to the Desktop. The setting for Home Page to start with I always use About:blank for, but now it had changed back to some mozilla kind of webaddress.

Am I being hacked, or infected? Or is it simply a major bug with Firefox? Because I am 100 % sure it was not me that changed these settings.*puppy*

Themes or extensions can cause that behavior. I've had it happen in the pre-release versions.

Nope, not in my case. I did not install any extensions so far.
(I am positive to extensions, but have not invested time for browsing through the bunch)

If you have your settings as you like them now, keep an eye on them. If they change again, try an uninstall/reinstall of Firefox.
