No replies needed, just a little goodie for Firefox users that enables Passwords to be saved by removing "Autocomplete = off" from the form fields on the page.

Just hit http://cybernetnews.com/tweak-firefoxs-password-saver-without-an-extension/, save it and click "Password Saver" highlighted in item 1. You only need to do this ONCE, it will last forever unless revoked.

Next time you have to enter your name and password for a site, press "Submit" and Firefox will prompt you in a header bar to have your data remembered.

Subsequent visits, enter first digit of name in box, click full name in drop down tab and no need enter password.
Saved passwords - Tools>Options>Security>Saved Passwords>Show Passwords. Check "Remember Passwords for Sites" box.

I've been using such a javascript bookmark for many years. Quite usefull if you use Firefoxes Password Manager.

If you have Greasemonkey you can use a script to do the same thing. This is the one I use recently started using: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/79445
